Band Profiles
Big Joe Louis & His Blues Kings
Big Joe Louis was born in Jamaica, West Indies, and moved to the UK during the 1970s. The Blues Kings were formed 18 years ago and have taken their special kind of real down-home Blues to venues the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland and with great success in virtually every country in Western Europe and Scandinavia.
The Niall Kelly Band
Niall Kelly is essentially TheBluesBar personified. For a number of years he has run the jam nights on Saturday and Sunday, as well as playing in duos, trios and his own bands throughout the week.
His latest offering is The Niall Kelly Band. This is some serious blues… Niall’s voice is well known as one of the finest around, so when combined with the young talent he has gathered together, you know you are in for a real treat. The line up changes often, so you will never see the same gig twice, but believe us, you will want to see them again and again!
Franck Ash
Frenchman Franck creates a blend of Blues, with a fusion of Soul, R & B and Funk, resulting in an original sound that is without doubt his own. As a front man, Franck is formidable, and as a support guest he has opened for DR JOHN (‘88), ROBERT CRAY (‘95 & ‘01), TAJ MAHAL (2000) and had the privilege of being SCREAMIN’ JAY HAWKINS guitarist until his unfortunate passing in February 2000.
Get down for some smooth blues with Franck.
