The Tonebrokers bring the very finest songs from the Delta, Gospel and Chicago blues canon, allied to a highly atmospheric sound, stunning vocals and tasteful improvisation. Phil Hughes, vocalist & harp player, has been part of the London blues scene for over ten years. Founder member of The Bluematics with Pete Boulter and currently fronting Chicago Blues band 11 Foot Sack, playing harp in The Red 8 and singing and playing alto/tenor sax as one of The Dirty Gentlemen. Owen Houlston, vocals and guitar, is originally from Hull and has carved a niche for himself on the London blues scene. He fronts his own band, The Red 8, is a guitarist with Bridie King & The Reasons, guitarist and bandleader of Miss King's R&B Revue, and has formerly played with The Niall Kelly Band.
