Well, what a day at TheBluesBar… SEASICK STEVE! A packed house witnessed a very special performance on Saturday during Niall Kelly’s Jam as ‘the bearded one’ strolled through the door and sidled up to the bar. Of course in a place like this he is far from anonymous and was soon asked to play. A captivated audience wondered if he would remove a few strings from Niall’s guitar… but no! With six strings he played, and boy did he play…

No more waiting in the queue… TheBluesBar has officially started to make expansion plans. It seems as though the premises next door will soon be empty, a perfect time for Ain’t Nothin’ But to double in size and create a bit of space on the dance floor!! The cosy atmosphere is something TheBluesBar doesn’t wish to lose, so don’t expect big chandeliers and comfy couches… it will be the same bar, just with more people inside!

The plans at this stage are also allowing for a bit more stage space. We know the musicians love being right in with the audience, so everyone is keen to keep it intimate, therefore we will just add a little on either side and centre it in the room. All of this should be underway and complete in the summer! Oh, let the good times roll…
